About the early access

Why?

The choice of an early access release model for Spice is a consequence of 2 choices :

• Affordability :

Modular is a world on its own but also an expensive world that can be quite heavy on the unprivileged ones. Even if the phase pricing model is not perfect, I believe it is still a reliable way to make Spice reachable to most, even for a limited time.

• Feedback :

Most of the Spice features present in the roadmap are 80% implemented, but there are still a couple of design choices that need testing to reach the right balance between feature density and smooth workflow. So I believe your feedback will be quite precious when making those decisions.

What you get :

Spice engines and features will be released according to the roadmap calendar to really focus and test on the proper implementation of each feature.
